Every wedding is unique but, because of the importance of this event, certain clichés have been developed. They often tend to rend the wedding more common and less personal. To avoid that, you can add character to your wedding and personalize it with the help of a few unique decorations and accessories. This will make your wedding a truly unique event not just for you but for everyone else. For example:

Centerpieces.

Let’s start with a very fresh and delicate type of centerpiece. It’s a combination of fruit and flowers. The vase has been replaced with a pineapple and the flowers feature different colors and shapes yet they form a harmonious piece. If you’d rather keep the vases, you can still make them look unique. Try wrapping them in rope or yarn. You can use different colors and create different patterns. This will give the vases a more rustic look. Another wonderful idea is to repurpose Mason jars and transform them into chic centerpieces. Put a few pebbles or marbles at the bottom, fill the jar with water and let a candle float at the top. This is a very ingenious and original centerpiece idea. You can make planters for tiny succulents inside old books. You have to remove the interior of the pages, add some soil and a few plants. Here’s a nice reinterpretation of a very simple and traditional type of centerpiece. It’s a jar used as a vase and filled with different types of flowers. The diversity makes this element look special. An inexpensive and simple idea is to make stylish votive holders out of regular glasses. You only need tape and paint to create a design on the exterior of the glass.

Table numbers.

For a vintage wedding you could have table numbers made of wood. You need slices of wood on which to paint the umbers using a stencil. It’s simple and very chic. If you want, you can try a more casual approach and make table numbers out of tin cans. The idea is to use a nail to make tiny holes in the can so that when you put a candle inside the number will be visible. To save some space on the tables, you could try a combination between a centerpiece and a table number. Paint labels using chalkboard paint on the centerpieces (in this case planters) and then simply write the numbers on.

Favors.

A very refreshing idea for wedding favors is to have small glass jars turned into planters for tiny succulents. It’s cute and elegant at the same time. Regardless of what you choose as wedding favors, it’s important that the packaging looks great. You could try making glitter-top favor boxes in which to offer delicious treats.

Table décor.

The tables need to look perfect, at least when we wedding starts. This may restrict you a little but you can still personalize them with your choice of napkins. These are DIY no sew napkins that you can make in nay color and design. Add some sparkle to the napkins with confetti which you can also make yourself. You just need a circle punch and some paint.

Garlands.

These star garlands are very elegant and they’re suitable for indoor weddings. You can make them out of gold foil paper, gold glitter paper and gold thread. The golden garlands would look stunning with a black wall in the background. For a more casual or retro-chic wedding you can try making tissue tassel garlands. They would look great outdoors with the wind gently caressing them. To make them you need a pack of tissue, rope trim, glue and scissors. cr. homedit.com
