“Phuket”, the pearl of Andaman, is praised as the number one island destination in Southeast Asia. The island offers a wide array of attractions ranging from natural beauty, vibrant lifestyle, serene culture, adventurous sites, and complete amenities. These attractions draw countless tourists to Phuket each year and positioned Phuket as one of the most attractive cities for short term stay, long-stay, and retirement.     

Data from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reported that Phuket earned 388,017 million baht in tourism revenue in 2023. There were 8.3 million foreign tourists with the revenue of 365,826 million baht in 2023. The occupancy rate was 78% in 2023.

A hidden attraction in Kathu is the Kathu waterfalls. Its beauty is year-round, especially from July to December when there is plenty of water. The lush forest and beautiful scenery make this the true destination for hiking and nature lovers.

Phuket Fantasy is the first Thai cultural theme park in the world. It offers a spectacular show that combines Thai cultural heritage with advanced entertainment technology. With over 70-rai in area and more that 3,500 million baht investment, Phuket Fantasy is one of the must visit destinations. 

The popularity of owning condominiums in Phuket has risen in recent years. The average land price in Bangtao, Rawai, Naiharn is 30-40 million baht per rai. Land price in Layan, Kata, Karon, and Kamala is about 70-100 million baht. Land price in the Patong area is 200-300 million baht per rai. The rental yield from condominium is 7-8%. 

 

The areas surrounding Phuket city center have recently gained popularity. The infrastructure development in Phuket includes the newly planned Andaman Airport. The current airport and the new airport will increase the capacity from 6 million to over 18 million visitors per year. The new airport is set to open in 2027 and will definitely boost Phuket tourism and increase the significance of Phuket in Southeast Asia.
