"Happiness Center" Campaign for K-Credit Card Offering 0% interest on installments for up to 6 months
To ring in the 2016 New Year, KBank extends happiness to K-Credit Cardholders with the Happiness Center campaign, offering 0-percent interest on installments for any item at any shop for up to six months, starting today until March 31, 2016. The campaign is expected to boost credit-card spending growth to 19 percent, surpassing 360 billion Baht. KBank expects to issue 600,000 new cards this year.
Ms. Supaneewan Chutrakul, KASIKORNBANK First Senior Vice President, said that Thai consumers are gaining more confidence in spending, as growth in spending via credit cards continued from the end of last year. If the government releases more economic boosting measures this year, it should correspondingly stimulate and enhance consumer spending sentiment. Therefore, KBank is getting ready to make advancements in the credit-card market with a variety of marketing campaigns throughout 2016, all of which are aimed at offering ultimate happiness for customers purchasing via K-Credit Cards. In particular, for example, the privilege offering cash back deals on daily expenditure enhances customers' liquidity and motivates them to spend more liberally.
KBank is celebrating the 2016 New Year with its "Happiness Center" campaign, allowing customers to transform every purchase into ‘Happiness’ with K-Credit Cards and pay by installments at 0-percent interest for up to six months, for any product at any shop. To earn privilege, customers can simply shop at restaurants, supermarkets or pay for hotel reservations, insurance premiums, car maintenance, as well as hospital treatments, for at least 4,000 Baht per sales slip. The campaign runs from today until March 31, 2016. Customers are urged to swipe their K-Credit Cards and call the "Happiness Center" at 02-8888888 dial 823 to transform their spending before statement due date. Customers can opt to pay the 0-percent interest for three months when spending at least 4,000 Baht, or for six months when spending a minimum of 6,000 Baht.
Ms. Supaneewan added that KBank will continue to roll out new campaigns throughout this year in order to accommodate customers' actual needs, suitable for all lifestyles. Ms. Supaneewan is confident that each spending will create genuine happiness for customers and help support the economy, in line with the government's policies to stimulate domestic spending.
In 2015, K-Credit Cards continued to be customers' first choice when spending, as there were 3.6 million issued cards by the end of 2015, which grew about 4 percent from the previous year, while total spending rose 11 percent to 307 billion Baht. In particular, spending on dining, holidays and shopping grew higher than the market's average growth of 6 percent. In 2016, purchase via K-Credit Cards is expected to grow 19 percent to 360 billion Baht, while credit-card loans may yield as much as 8 percent of total income. KBank aims to issue 600,000 new cards this year.
